After replanting the new vines of Crocicchio – Bozzano (2004) of Caprile Massaciuccoli (2007) and S. Macario Selva di Segale (2009), we present the 2016 vintage Red Secret of the Estate, obtained from grapes harvested manually in the first week of September. Intense red color and strong and balanced character, make it an interesting wine, its freshness and its aromas make it excellent for combinations with red meat menus.
Blending vines: 100% Merlot
Vinification and aging: With the aim of getting the most out of our grapes, the harvest is exclusively manual. The grapes transported in small baskets to the cellar, are de-stemmed and immediately placed in the couves. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel containers at 24 ° for 15 days. The refinement takes place with passage in oak barriques for about 10/15 new months in the first part of the refinement and second passage oak barriques in the second part. The non-filtered wine is then bottled and left in the bottle for another 3/4 months before being marketed.
Tasting: Intense color and a nice clarity. The nose is very fragrant and the fruits are well present in the wine, round and well balanced in the mouth. .
