Organic Tuscan IGT rosé wine
After having replanted in 2009 the new vineyards of Villa Borbone in the Migliarino and San Rossore Park at 800 m. from the sea on a sandy ground and the vineyards of Selva di Segale in San Macario, on the hill between Lucca and Viareggio, we present the Organic Secret Rosè of the Estate, vintage 2019, a combination of aromas obtained from the influence of the sea of the Tuscan coast combined with austerity of the Lucchese hill. Obtained from grapes harvested manually in the first week of September. Delicate rosé color and strong and balanced character make it an interesting wine, its freshness and its aromas make it ideal for aperitifs and combinations with menus based on white meats, but also suitable for fish-based dishes.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification and aging
With the aim of getting the most out of our grapes, the harvest is exclusively manual. The grapes are transported in small baskets to the cellar. Very short maceration on the skins. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers at 16 ° for 15 days. Refinement takes place in steel containers. The unfiltered wine is then bottled and left in the bottle for another 3/4 months before being marketed.
Tasting: Intense color and a nice clarity. The nose is very fragrant and the fruits are well present in the wine, round and well balanced in the mouth. Serving temperature 12 ° C
Alcohol%: For the Secret Rosè Bio 2019 the alcohol content is 12.5 °.
Vineyard age: 8-10 years – 2500 vines – 2000 bottles produced
Format: Bottles of 0.750 ml in cartons of 6.
Winemaker: Lamberto Tosi and Julian Gout
